On Feb. 25, 1964, boxer Cassius Clay, who later changed his name to Muhammed Ali, defeats highly favored heavyweight champion Sonny Liston and claims his first title. The 22-year-old Ali was already making a name for himself in and out of the ring as a boaster, and in the build up to the Liston fight, Ali proclaimed he would “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” Ali defended his heavyweight crown numerous times and is considered one of the best boxers of all time. He died in 2016 at the age of 74.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday their countries are working on a major trade deal, after they held talks in New Delhi on the final day of Trump’s visit to India.

Rights groups in Hong Kong and abroad Tuesday denounced a Chinese court’s verdict to sentence former Hong Kong bookseller Gui Minhai to 10 years in prison on charges of “illegally providing intelligence to foreign entities.”

VIDEO: About 20,000 mourners recalled the lives of NBA basketball great Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, who were killed in a helicopter crash last month.  VOA reports from Los Angeles, where Bryant played his entire career with the Lakers.
