Sean Casey turned an old church into a brew house.  VOA talked to him about why he preserved the look and atmosphere of the church and how the local community feels about drinking beer from a place that used to be a house of worship. 

On This Day in American History
On October 2, 1985, actor Rock Hudson, 59, succumbs to AIDS. He was the first celebrity known to die of the disease, and his death marked a turning point in how the disease was viewed. Although Hudson was considered to be the quintessential “tall, dark and handsome” leading man, his illness eventually revealed that he was homosexual. Some of Hudson’s more well-known films include “Magnificent Obsession,” “All That Heaven Allows” and “Giant.”

U.S. President Donald Trump and some who want him impeached are trading accusations of “treason” and threats to national security amid warnings from analysts that such language could fuel irreparable harm to the nation’s civil and political fabric. 

U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban political negotiators have arrived in neighboring Pakistan amid a renewed diplomatic push to resurrect peace talks between Washington and the insurgent group.
