Lots of high school kids are way too busy keeping up their grades, participating in extracurricular activities, preparing for university, maybe working after school. Braxton Moral took a different approach. The 16-year-old studied for two diplomas: one from his high school in Ulysses, Kan., and the other from Harvard.

On Feb. 21, 1965, African-American activist Malcolm X is assassinated by rival activists in New York City. Born Malcolm Little, his activism contrasted greatly with civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. in that he called for liberation of African Americans “by any means necessary.” Malcolm X’s legacy is divided, with some seeing him as a courageous advocate for African Americans, while others accusing him of preaching hate, racism and violence.

As Vietnam’s capital city prepares to host the second summit between North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un, and U.S. President Donald Trump, salon owner Tuan Duong is offering free haircuts to customers eager to sport the distinctive hairstyle of either leader.

VIDEO: Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is the latest entrant into the increasingly crowded Democratic presidential field for 2020. Sanders and several other Democrats in the race advocate progressive views on key issues like the economy, the environment and health care. In response, President Donald Trump charged that the Democratic Party is headed down the road of socialism, setting up what could be a major ideological debate next year.
