On Jan. 15, 1967, the first Super Bowl is played at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The game featured the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs and was played before a non-sellout crowd of nearly 62,000 fans. Green Bay went on to win 35-10, and each player on the team collected a $15,000 prize. Green Bay quarterback Bart Starr was named the game’s most valuable player. |
