On November 28, 1925, the Grand Ole Opry begins live radio broadcasting from Nashville, Tennessee. The weekly show highlights American country western music by featuring the biggest names in the business. Legends such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Marty Robbins, Roy Acuff, the Carter family, Bill Monroe, Ernest Tubb, Kitty Wells, and Minnie Pearl were all regulars on the show.
