In Seoul, VOA learns what it’s like to be part of the elite group from a North Korean defector who once belonged to Kim Jong Un’s ‘army of beauties.’

On This Day in American History
On February 14,1849, the first photograph ever taken of a sitting US president is captured in New York City. The image of James Knox Polk, the 11th president of the United State, is the oldest surviving photograph of a president in office.
