E-bikes are a common sight among New York’s immigrant delivery workers, many of whom consider the electric powered bicycles to be a job necessity. The problem is that e-bikes are illegal to operate in the city. On February 13, 1905, President Theodore Roosevelt delivers a stirring speech on improving race relations in the United States. Resentment toward the ‘migrant invasion’ is the key issue on the minds of Italian voters two weeks ahead of parliamentary elections. The leader of the anti-immigrant League Party has condemned immigrants for bringing ‘chaos, anger, drug dealing, thefts, rapes and violence’ to Italy. VOA is in Rome where both migrants and Italians express frustration with the way things are.
