India says it has intelligence linking Rohingya refugees and Pakistan-backed militants inside India. The country plans to deport about 40,000 refugees who entered the country in the past five years, at a time when tens of thousands are fleeing alleged persecution in Myanmar.

On Sept. 20, 1863, the Confederate Army won the Battle of Chickamauga in northern Georgia during the U.S. Civil War.  The battle, which began two days earlier, was one of the bloodiest fights of the conflict, with nearly 35,000 combined casualties.

More than 100 of Nigeria’s “Chibok girls,” who were kidnapped by Boko Haram militants from a school in 2014, are starting classes at the American University of Nigeria, months after they were finally released.
