Americans are warned against traveling to North Korea, but that hasn’t stopped some North Koreans from coming here. The US issued more than 10,000 visas to North Koreans over the past 20 years, 18 of them this year from March to June, according to a VOA analysis. The North Koreans come on a variety of different visas — business, tourist, fiancée — but are they also gathering information?

On August 15, 1969, the Woodstock Music and Art Festival — more commonly known as simply Woodstock — gets underway on a farm in upstate New York. Nearly a half-million hippies attend the festival, which features some of the top musical acts of the day, and includes a number of songs expressing opposition to the Vietnam War. Woodstock goes on to be remembered as an example of America’s 1960s youth counterculture at its best.
