President Trump’s proposed border wall threatens to kill off the last 50 ocelots left in the United States. The endangered striped-and-spotted wild cat species is inbreeding, weakening a population already suffering from loss of habitat. And cutting Texas’s ocelots off from those in Mexico could doom them for good. 

On This Day in American History
On May 12, 1903, while riding in a San Francisco parade, President Theodore Roosevelt becomes the first US leader to have an official presidential activity captured on moving-picture film. Keenly aware of the power of motion pictures, Roosevelt continues to encourage filmmakers to document his activities; he even plays up to the camera with exaggerated gestures and thundering speeches.

The uproar over President Trump’s controversial decision to fire FBI Director James Comey is playing right into Russia’s hands, in the view of several current and former US intelligence officials. Some on Capitol Hill believe the president fired Comey in order to hinder the FBI’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign. No matter how the investigation plays out, here’s why Russia can consider the controversy a win.
