Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump meet again for their final presidential debate in Las Vegas tonight. Trump has slipped in the polls in the wake of a video in which he describes groping women and allegations of inappropriate behavior from several women, at a time when he needs to win college-educated white women. Clinton could play it safe tonight because she believes she has the lead, while a trailing Trump might just go for broke.

On This Day in American History
On October 18, 1781, a decisive victory is won at Yorktown, Virginia, after 8,000 British soldiers and seamen surrender to a larger Franco-American force, effectively bringing the American Revolution to an end.

Millennials could tip the scales in the battleground state of Ohio. Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump among young voters, but they’re not particularly enthusiastic about either candidate. Neither are older, undecided voters. So what happens if these folks don’t show up on election day?

Russia is playing a surprisingly high-profile role in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Moscow has denied U.S. accusations of conducting cyberattacks to influence the elections in favor of Republican Donald Trump. Democrat Hillary Clinton has taken a tough stance against Vladimir Putin while the GOP nominee says he doesn’t love or hate the Russian president. Where Clinton sees aggressiveness on the part of Russia, Trump sees an opportunity.

Tonight’s debate face-off is in ‘Sin City,’ which was hit hard by the 2008 recession. Tourism tanked, the housing market crashed, and conventions dried up. Now that Nevada is bouncing back, it’s no surprise that for many voters in the state, the 2016 presidential campaign comes down to the economy.

Breaking up is never easy. Just ask Britain, where the value of the pound dropped — at one point to a 31-year low — after Britons voted in June to leave the European Union. There are signs of further drops to come and indications the country could be headed for a hard, costly Brexit.

QUICK TAKE VIDEO: Kurdish forces retaking villages in the battle towards Mosul are finding that fleeing Islamic State fighters have left destruction in their wake. VOA gets a firsthand look as the forces fighting IS enter these demolished communities.

Life is tough for Somalians in Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camp but things could soon get worse. VOA is in Kenya where the 25-year-old camp is being shut down as its residents are sent back to their native Somalia. The ‘voluntary repatriation’ program is backed by the United Nations, but some refugees tell VOA the process is hardly voluntary and accuse Kenya of forcing them back to an unsafe country.

Cheater, Cheater. Students cheating on exams is nothing new. What is new is how young people are doing it. Forget about finding answers written on their hands. Smart technology has transformed cheating with contact lenses that capture, transmit and receive images or by using super high-frequency ring tones on their phones that teachers can’t hear. With 98 percent of high school students carrying mobile devices, it’s not easy to catch and stop this high-tech cheating.
