Who’s the most presidential of them all? Viewers might have tuned in to last night’s debate to see which candidate seemed more ‘presidential’. Appearances aside, we wondered how each of the top two contenders would actually govern.

Democrat Hillary Clinton has an extensive public service resume. She’s been first lady of the United States, a senator and the secretary of state. When it comes to being president, will she approach the job with the same attitude as when she was first lady, or would her style be more similar to how she governed as a senator?

And what about The Donald? The Republican presidential candidate has never held elected office, but the manner in which he operates his businesses might give us some insight into how he’d run the United States. What if Trump ran the country like it’s his brand?

On This Day in American History
On September 27, 1779, the Continental Congress appoints John Adams to travel to France to negotiate peace and commerce treaties with Great Britain during the Revolutionary War. After the war, Adams serves as the American ambassador to London.

Explaining America: On election night, Americans will be paying a lot of attention to certain counties. In swing states, these jurisdictions — also called parishes and boroughs in some areas — could determine the winner of the U.S. presidential election. Here’s the lowdown.

VIDEO: A group of U.S. Muslim voters gathered at a cafe just outside of Washington to watch the first debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump. Here’s how some of them reacted when it was over.

Americans weren’t the only ones watching the debate. China found itself on the receiving end of some harsh attacks from Donald Trump. Although Chinese state media kept reporting on the presidential debate to a minimum, VOA was in Beijing gauging the reaction of local folks, including some who believe criticizing China is a campaign tactic that won’t last past the election.

What’s old is new again in Russia, where President Vladimir Putin is consolidating the country’s intelligence agencies into one massive security ministry, which pretty much means he’s recreating the old Soviet KGB. Now why would he want to do a thing like that?

Speaking of Russia, some say that country is winning the global public relations war. Russia includes information strategy as a key part of conflict planning, setting up fake social media accounts and deploying tens of thousands of online trolls. What the West needs, according to some observers, is a little social media hygiene.
