The exact number of children who’ve gone through the Islamic State’s child soldier boot camp is unknown, but a recent video showing IS child executioners has prompted growing concern about what will happen to the children forced to live under IS, some of whom may have been severely brutalized.

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina hits in the vicinity of New Orleans, Louisiana, triggering the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States. About 80 percent of the city is flooded up to the rooftops of many homes, stranding tens of thousands of people. The hurricane is ultimately blamed for 1,300 deaths and $150 billion in damage.
