What’s it like to be young and Muslim in America today? That’s what VOA wanted to know, so we hosted a panel discussion to learn more. The majority of U.S. Muslims are between the ages of 19 and 35. Here’s what the world looks like to these Muslim millennials.

On This Day in American History
On June 28, 1953, the first Corvette, which went on to become an iconic American sports car, is assembled at a Chevrolet plant in Flint, Michigan. Just 300 of the two-seater vehicles were produced that year and they sold for $3,498.00.

Donald Trump is out to prove he’s the candidate who will bring jobs back to the U.S. The presumptive Republican nominee outlined his economic plan today. Hillary Clinton’s previous support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a free trade deal involving 12 countries, could be a weak point for the presumptive Democratic nominee. Here’s the breakdown.

Experts predicted chaos would follow if Britain voted for Brexit. With the pound plummeting to a 30-year low against the dollar, two rating agencies downgrading Britain’s credit rating, stock markets plunging, and the European Union demanding that Britain get on with the divorce, the leaderless, rudderless nation seems adrift, while its two main parties are embroiled in vicious infighting.

Speaking of Brexit, the ripple effect is likely to extend to the former British colonies. Experts say Britons’ vote to quit the European Union could have far-reaching economic, political and social implications for a region with deep historic ties to Britain. Here are five ways Brexit might impact South Asia.

Myanmar isn’t happy about being added to a U.S. list of worst global offenders in human trafficking. The State Department is expected to release the rankings on Thursday. There’s hope the demotion will prod the southeast Asian nation to do more to curb the use of child soldiers, forced labor, and the persecution of Rohingya Muslims in the Buddhist-majority country.

Quick Take Video: Kurdish Peshmerga fighters have been key in the battle against Islamic State. During Ramadan, the fasting combatants say the holy month drives them to work harder to defeat IS and explain why the terror group does not represent Islam.

VOA visits an orphanage in Iraqi Kurdistan that looks after Yazidi children left parentless by Islamic State attacks. The children say their fathers were killed and their mothers were taken.

Climbing Mount Everest is getting more dangerous, according to people who regularly make the trek. They tell VOA that glacial melting, brought on by climate change, creates crevasses that are almost too wide to cross. However, the greater risk might be the glacial runoff that threatens to trigger widespread flooding, followed by long-term droughts.

How sweet it is. We’ve always heard that sweet potatoes are good for you and now a research team that developed heartier and more nutrient-rich strains of the high-carb vegetable — to help ward off diet-related illnesses in sub-Saharan Africa — just nabbed a pretty sweet prize.
