Can the European Union survive Brexit? That’s the question on a lot of minds after Britons voted to leave the 28-country political and economic bloc. The decision sent shock waves throughout the world, throwing global markets into turmoil, and prompting the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron. The repercussions could be far-reaching, as VOA reports from Africa and India. President Barack Obama reacted to the outcome by saying he respects the decision of the British people. Meanwhile, EU officials in Belgium are scrambling to contain the fall-out, pledging that the 27 remaining member countries will stand strong, and demanding an immediate start to negotiations to send Britain on its way out the EU door.

A former counterterrorism official says there are many U.S. Muslims who are willing to help counter the terror group’s online presence, but they need the right support.

Speaking of American Muslims, just who are they? Well, for starters, 1-in-3 Muslims in the United States is a millennial (between the ages of 18 and 35) like Noor Tagouri, who also happens to be a social media star.

What to do if the anti-venom you make isn’t profitable? If you’re France-based Sanofi Pasteur, you simply stop producing the lifesaving medicine, which will soon be completely unavailable in Africa. That’s not very good news for the 30,000 Africans who die of snakebites each year. Is this poisonous situation the result of corporate greed?
